Pork chop-apple kraut dinner

Ingredients:


4 pork chops or shoulder steaksSalt
Pepper1 t. caraway seed
1/3 c. brown sugar1 No. 2 can sauerkraut (2 1/2 c.)
3 T. chopped onion2 apples

Preparation:


Brown pork chops in a little fat in dutch oven or electric skillet, season with salt and pepper. Remove chops from pan and pour off fat. Add sauerkraut, caraway seed, brown sugar, onions and sliced apples mixed thoroughly. Top with pork chops. Cover and let cook at low heat one hour or until meat is tender, basting chops with juices in pan.
