Patio salad with ham

Ingredients:


1 package frozen green peas1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 c. water11/3 c. minute rice
3/4 c. mayonnaise1/2 c. chopped dill pickles
1 t. grated onion1 c. cooked ham strips
1 c. Swiss cheese strips1/4 t. pepper

Preparation:


Add frozen peas and salt to boiling water. Boil 2 minutes. Add rice; mix to moisten rice. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in mayonnaise, pickle, onion, and pepper. Mix lightly with fork. Chill. Before serving, add ham and cheese. Mix lightly, serve on crisp salad greens and garnish with tomato wedges. Fried bacon, Spam, Treat, or canned ham may also be used.
